Enjoy American food with a Polynesian style.
Character dining: Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch
Dinner with Hawaiian hospitality. Enjoy games and storytelling, Hawaiian style.
Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit.
If I were to write a one word review on 'Ohana's dinner extravaganza it would be this: YUM. Each course is massive in its proportions. We started off with delicious coconut bread. It has an essence of coconut, not pieces of coconut in it that I could feel in texture. Next, an amazing salad with Polynesian dressing. The main course was brought to the table by our server on 3 feet long metal skewers, as all the meat and seafood is roasted on said skewers over an open grill. We delighted in chicken, pork, beef, and lastly shrimp. As if your stomach could handle much more, a huge bowl of bread pudding with sauce and vanilla bean ice cream is placed in the middle of your table for your delight. In between courses the children may partake in coconut races, traditional Hawaiin songs, and learning the hula. If you don't feel as though you are ready to burst after all I have mentioned there's a bonus. 'Ohana offers seconds(and thirds!) on EVERYTHING! Enjoy!
We ate at this restaurant for dinner through the dining plan. We really enjoyed this restaurant but they served so much food! We were told that any unused food was given to shelters or used to feed the animals at Disney World. Our 5 and 2 year old sons did like some of the food they served, but they can make items off a kids meals if you have more of a picky eater. My favorite was the dessert! It was bread pudding with s sauce over it! Just great and I got eat there and just have dessert! That was the best dessert we had on the entire trip! Can't wait to get more the next time we go to Disney World!!
O'Hana is a great restaurant on so many levels. From the beginning of your dinner until the end, you will be amazed. First, you are greeted as family. The greeters will let you know that we are all cousins because everyone is family! What a great feel!
The decor of the restaurant and the Polynesian Resort is unique and gives you an island vibe that you most likely do not find at home. The fire pit at the restaurant adds even more to the ambiance.
The food is served family style and comes in large quantities. You will be able to try all sorts of Polynesian-inspired creations.
The restaurant also has a luau which is a lot of fun. You will need to reserve this quite a bit in advance. The show is very entertaining.
As with other nice restaurants in Disney, I recommend that you make a reservation so you are not disappointed.
The Polynesian is on the monorail so you can plan going to the Magic Kingdom and/or Epcot around your meal.
Although i think the meal itself was wonderful and delicious, I think its the epitimy of glutony! They waste so much food here and offer to much. Its a family style meal and they come by constantly asking if you want more. if you do they dish out way way way too much! Its just not necessary to offer THAT much food! The coffee was terrible!
We did the character breakfast at Ohana. We loved that it was sit down / family style rather than a buffett like most Character breakfast. The juice they serve was amazing but the variety of the food left something to be desired. Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, a veggie plate, fruit plate and bread basket. If you are looking for variety stick with the buffett. Also they do not serve Kona coffee you will have to go to the Kona coffee cart for that. Characters include Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. The kids get maracca's to be part of a parade. All in all good fun.
Now this is the restaurant that defines Walt DIsney World for me, ever since my first trip here I have come back every following year. Just go there, go there for breakfast and dinner, mostly dinner.
I love stitch and breakfast is good, its served family style with the usuals eggs, bacon, mickey waffles, etc. Good good, fun with characters if youve been to a character meal you know what to expect.
Now what blows your mind is the dinner. Even the start is great, that pineapple cononut bread, I search high and low to find something to even compare to it. That lazy susan with the appetizers, sides, and sauces. OMG everything on there is so delicious. From the sticky wings to the pot stickers man my mouth is watering right now. Then theres the main course, of course this is all you can eat, but when they bring those huge skewers to your table you dont know where to start! Always get the steak & turkey, I must point you in that direction.
Now the only down is the menu can change due to season, everytime Ive been there they had grilled shrimp on the skewer which is absolutely delicious! They did replace that briefly with peel and eat shrimp like a shrimp cocktail. Also sides can change, they could be rice or noodles depending. Either way they are always delicious I promise. I dont know what the ending dessert is right now but it used to be pineapples and caramel. That was simple and a great palate cleanser.
There just isnt any way I can full say how wonderful this restaurant is. My last tip is try and go during the electric water pageant or the magic kingdom fireworks show, I dont know how but it makes the meal better and definitely more magical.
We've been to Ohana for both breakfast (character breakfast featuring Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch) and dinner, and loved them both. Breakfast was fabulous. The food is served family style to your table, so unlike most other character meals, there was no running up to the buffet. The food was also delicious, and kid-friendly. Character interaction was great. Dinner was one of our favorite meals there. We loved the side dishes and dessert, and all of the different meats that came around. My kids also loved the entertainment during the meal and did the limbo, coconut races, and the hula.
We had dinner here on our last trip to WDW in Sept 2012 and it was one of our very favorite meals of the trip. It was super crowded but we did not have to wait long to be seated after checking in. My husband and I loved the food - he especially loved the way they brought around skewers of meat - he was in heaven! The kids tried the food but when they didn't like it, the waiter was quick to provide them with a traditional kids meal. While we were eating, there was a lot going on and the kids were able to participate in a parade around the restaurant and a game of limbo. They had a blast with this. The highlight of the meal for me was the bread pudding -- SO good. We had an 8pm reservation, so we were able to view the fireworks from Magic Kingdom from the restaurant. Our table was right by a window and we had an awesome view. They pipe the music in for the show, so it's like you're right there. We will definitely be returning here on our next trip!
Ohana was definitely a unique experience that we haven't had anywhere else. We loved the food and the unlimited portions ;) The kids weren't too fond of the food, so maybe this would be a skip if you have small children who are picky eaters, but adults will love it!
We were here for breakfast. The food was delicious! My kids loved parading around the dining room with Mickey and his friends. We loved seeing Mickey and Pluto in their Hawaiian attire. The best part of the meal was meeting Lilo and Stitch! Stitch was hilarious, and Lilo was so sweet.
This is our absolute favorite character meal at Disney. First off, cannot beat the theming of the Polynesian Hotel. Absolutely breathtaking, if we could afford to stay there, I most definitely would! The views of the Magic Kingdom while you are eating, also are worth the price of admission. The food at this breakfast is the best we've had on property. The juice, Hawaiian sweet bread and sausages, are among my family's favorites. The characters you will see here are Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. Once during a meal, the kids will do a parade with instruments and the characters. It's very cute. We had a great time here and it's the one character meal I always recommend above all others. One tip, if you have a car. Get the earliest seating you can get for breakfast and then you can leave your car there for the day and head right to the Magic Kingdom next door !
Ohana is at the Polynesian Resort so if you're not staying there, it's a great opportunity to see the resort and enjoy dinner (and then head to the beach for the electrical light parade on the water).
The meal is wonderful - we absolutely love the wings, salad and meat (and there's a lot of meat!) They bring the meat to your table on huge skewers and just keep bringing more if you'd like it. Salad has a wondeful dressing on it too. And the dessert is to die for.
They have a show during dinner that the kids can get involved it - they dance, do coconut bowling and the limbo. My only negative (and we've been here twice) is the seating. Sometimes you are at a table close to the action so you can see the kids and other times you are far away from it all. As a parent, I like to be able to see where my young kids are - and in the show they parade them around part of the restuarnt. So make sure to ask for a table near the parade area or where the kids will be involved. It's hard to get as everyone wants those tables. If you don't have kids, believe me, you'll want a table in the quiet section :)
We ate here during the Thanksgiving holiday and we really enjoyed it. Our two boys ages 2 and 6 loved seeing Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. Stitch gave my boys a lot of attention. He was so much fun. The food is pretty good especially the bread. In the middle of the breakfast the kids got to participate in a parade around the restaurant with the characters. We will definitely go back.
We have eaten breakfast here and loved it. The breakfast is served family style and the juice is incredible. Just writing this is making my mouth water thinking about that juice! The breakfast is a character meal and my boys loved that the characters spent so much time with them. I love doing the character meals because you don't have to worry about hunting down the characters in the parks. I highly recommend this restaurant!
'Ohana's character breakfast is by far the best we have been to!! The hotel and restaurant are absolutely stunning to start. The food is all served family style, which takes some of the pressure off of running to the buffet and missing the characters. The characters all make rounds to your table, and will stop to sign autographs and take pictures. In addition, the characters lead a parade around the restaurant for the children! So fun!! The orange mixture juice was so good! I am still dreaming of it! Don't miss this one!!
We made reservations at this restaurant for the character dining experience. We had heard the breakfast was worth it- so that's what we chose. Boy, they weren't kidding! The food was delicious, there was something for everyone, the price wasn't great but it wasn't too much of a strain on our budget. The best part of the whole experience was our two year old meeting Lilo and Stitch... many Kodak moments.
We LOVE 'Ohana's restaruant!!! It is the perfect place to dine and watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. The food is amazing and it doesn't stop!!! They just keep bringing whatever you like!! Our favorite is the dumplings..we can eat these all night!!!! The desert is bread pudding, that is the only negative thing I can say because it isn't a desert we like.
This restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants on Disney Property. It is served as all you can eat family style. We have kids ages 11, 8, 4, and 1. The meat that is served has been grilled on an open pit and tastes wonderful. When we were there they had four different meats shrimp, chicken, pork, and steak. After we were seated the festivities began with the kids getting up from the table and race other kids using a broom to hit a coconut as fast as they could around the restaurant. The dessert is this bread pudding with warm caramel on top and so delicious that I crave it every time we go, they normally bring the kids icecream with mickey confetti on it, in case the little ones don't like it but mine love it. If you are looking for a good restaurant at disney this is one you should try.
Another of the chanracter dining experiences, this one features Lilo and Stitch as well as Mickey and Pluto. The family style breakfast features scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, mickey waffles and the amazing pineapple mango juice. Every so often, the characters will lead the kids in a parade around the restaurant which is a lot of fun.
Ohana is a great way to start your day at the WDW resort.
This is my family's favorite Disney restaurants! The meal is served family style, with the meats brought around to you on skewers, so you can choose what you like and don't like. We've always enjoyed the bread, salad, appetizers, and meats. The sides are good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The dessert though- amazing doesn't even begin to describe it.
The negatives for us: it can be loud. Not good for easily distractible little kids, if hat's a problem for you. My 5 year old does fine, my 2 year old barely ate as he was watching everything else. It's also hard to get a reservation for. If you have a specific time and date you want to go, you really need to call for ADRs at 180 days, and be a bit flexible.
For my family, it's a must do every trip.
