Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, too. At Jim ‘N Nick’s, we pride ourselves on using ...

1 Review of Jim 'N Nicks BBQ

Holy Cow- Perfect BBQ!

- October 2015

Full disclosure: my family is a bbq type of family. Give us Southern-style comfort food and we're happy campers. Jim 'N Nicks BBQ was suggested to us by just about everybody that lives close to the restaurant so we knew we had to make a pit stop there during a recent visit to Cabarrus County- and I'm so happy we did.

LOCATION AND PARKING

Jim 'N Nicks BBQ is located right off a main road in Concord and very close to Concord Mills Mall. The restaurant has its own building and dedicated parking and is in a great location near a ton of hotels including Sleep Inn Concord.

There's plenty of free parking in front of and beside the restaurant, but it does fill up as it's a very popular bbq spot.

WHAT WE ATE

For this bbq-loving family, it was a hard decision as to exactly what style we wanted. The restaurant offers chicken, pork or beef brisket and tons of homemade sides including mac and cheese (some of the best we've ever had) and their famous cheese biscuits. Oh man, I would go to Jim 'N Nicks BBQ just for the biscuits! And they've got traditional Southern-style sweet tea- yum!

The bbq was smoked perfectly and my teen daughter and I ordered the same- shredded pork. Although it didn't need any help, we did try the North Carolina style sauce and loved it.

My husband had to try the brisket and he could have eaten it for every meal while we were in town. With a side of French Fries and baked beans, we couldn't help but taste test his- delicious.

STAFF

GREAT staff at Jim 'N Nicks BBQ. They have that laid back, Southern hospitality that we love and they were just as sweet as can be.

And the Verdict is...?

Go! If your family are fans of bbq, Jim 'N Nicks BBQ is a must-eat at restaurant while in the Concord area. I have no problem recommending it for families with children of all ages and can't wait to visit again.

Disclosure: I was hosted by Visit Cabarrus for the purpose of this review. I was not asked to state a particular point of view and all opinions are my own!
