1 Review of Ivy on the Square

Interesting and delicious date night option

- April 2021

This is a great restaurant for date night. It’s got a speakeasy in it and delicious cocktails, a wonderful southern menu and cool decor throughout the place. Older kiddos will also enjoy being here, but I did not see a kid’s menu, so the younger set will be unpleased I believe.

I liked the atmosphere here, and would recommend grabbing a cocktail and something from their comfort food menu to get going. The restaurant is located across the street from the historic Marion Theater, so it is a terrific location to start or complete your date night out. The servers here wear attire reminiscent of the 1920s era speakeasy times, and you can chill out to jazz playing on the sound system while you relax. Serving midday meals as well as dinner, the place is hearty and satisfying while still being fun and entertaining.

Take the time to visit when you’ve got a night free of the little ones, or bring your older children and take in the interesting vibe here while you fill your belly with delicious offerings like a fried green tomato BLT, a shrimp po boy, a bourbon burger, southern fried onion rings, pimento cheese fritters or bacon-wrapped dates. Mouth-watering goodness for sure.
