"Our kids love this"
The Waikiki Aquarium's got lots of fun things to explore for kids of all ages. They've also got lots of fun family activities that you should definitely check out. We signed up for an Aquarium After Dark program (kids 5 and up) where you get to tour the Aquarium by flashlight and see who's sleeping and who's working in those aquarium waters. Be sure to check the calendar and register ahead of time for these events. They even have programs for parents with kids ages 1-3.

Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East

Kissimmee, Florida
"Good value stay"
With four kids, we often have to spend a pretty penny when looking for a place to stay. We recently stayed at the Seralago over Christmas break for a couple of days and got to take advantage of the free Disney birthday admission for our oldest daughter. The hotel is clean although the decor and furniture could use a little renovation to bring it up to date.
The hotel has two big kid heated pools and a little kids pool, so it's great for families with a wide age range. There's a playground and game room which is always nice for the kids when they want to hang out somewhere other than the hotel room.
We stayed in a 2 BD suite and it was perfect for our family. There was enough room for everyone. They don't have have a fully-equipped kitchen, but the fridge and microwave provide room for the meals you want to eat in. The hotel had a promotion where kids under 12 eat free, so that was a huge bonus for our family.
Overall a good value stay.

"Fun for the kids and adults"
Flying is such an amazing accomplishment by the human race and this is a great place for kids to see the evolution of human flight. There are tons of things to see and plenty of cockpits to climb into and simulate flying. There's also a costume area and airplane food galley which is great for younger kids.

"Transforming your kids into firefighters"
This is such a fun place for kids, especially those who want to learn more about the life of our neighborhood heroes... firefighters.
The museum has a great collection of memorabilia and hands-on activities like the emergency sound station, costume area, bucket brigade, and five real life-sized fire trucks for kids to sit and play on.
The Puppet Theater also holds different shows on the weekends which are a treat. Check the website for details.
And the best part, this place is FREE!

Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa | kids travel, kids activities
Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa

"Our kids had a blast"
A perfect resort for the entire family and a great place to explore the island from. The resort has great kid programs although they aren't cheap (For kids 3-12; about $75/day). Our kids loved all the hotel pools. The Hyatt's got freshwater pools, salt pools, waterfalls, slides, and secret coves. There's a kiddie pool area too for those with little tikes.

Tidepools is a nice restaurant, but I sometimes felt bad being in there with all the romantic couples when our kids were little. Now it's easier to enjoy for everyone. The Hyatt sometimes has family activities like Family Fun Theater Nights and Teen Nights. Also, since it' so family-friendly, your kids might even befriend another kid or two around the hotel.

Located on the South Shore of Kauai, this is also a great spot from which to explore the beaches of the South Shore. If you have little ones and are looking for calm surf, come during the winter and spring when the surf is low. During the summer, the waves picks up and it becomes a great place to learn to surf, but not fit for little kids. In the summer, you'll want to book a place on the northside in Hanalei or Princevile. The beachfront near the hotel is ok, but our favorite local beaches on the South were Baby Beach when the kid's were young and Poipu Beach for snorkeling and tide pools.
