Fragrant Free Fun

- January 2013

This park (another free feature of the city of Duluth), is along the shores of Lake Superior and attached to the Lakewalk trail also showcases a wooden Viking ship and thousands of rosebushes (of several varieties) and other pretty flowers.

There is more fun sites and great photo opportunities at the fountain and the marble gazebo. Their is an expansive lawn on which to roll around and play. The paths are manicured and super easy walking. This site is popular for picnics and weddings alike.

There is also an herb garden with it's own charming and delectable smells and lots of benches overlooking the lake to sit and enjoy the day. This is a favorite destination for folks in the late summer and early fall when the flowers are at their peak and it's a very fragrant park!

The only thing to think about is that there are inherently quite a few bees in and around the park, doing their jobs pollinating and you might have a sneezy day if you are prone to allergies. Otherwise, the park is a delight for the family to see and smell!
