Kid City no longer exists. When this park closed, they opened up the Glazer Childrens Museum, which, if you liked Kid City (and we did) you will love the Glazer Children's Museum located in Downtown Tampa. It is owned by the same organization but have expanded the space to a new building with so much more to do for kids!
This is more entertaining geared for the toddler age kids. It is a city with small buildings down to their level to play with. For example, there is a small mcdonalds, a small grocery store, a small bank. The kids go in and play make believe that they are shopping or ordering. I would wait until discounts or free as well since it is not that great if you have to pay full price. I did hear that another museum will be opening in Tampa so I am not sure if this one is closed but I would call or look into it before going over there. Enjoy! God Bless You!
This is a cool place to take the kids. They love it, that's for sure. I would wait for either discount admission tickets or a free day though because it's one of those places you don't want to pay full price to explore. The kids do enjoy the "city" at their level though and it's fun to watch them get so excited.
Kid City was a wonderful, pint-sized small town. My daughter had a great time riding around on the little school bus, pedaling bikes, trikes and small cars. The good news is that a new childrens museum (Glazer Childrens Museum)has been built on the banks of the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. The bad news is that Kid City on North Boulevard has been permanently closed.
