Fun Little Historical Area

- December 2010

Fresno Flats is a cute historical site, probably only an hour or two visit but they have some great old buildings from school houses to jails and they cover the whole area from Fresno Flats (now known as Oakhurst) to Coarsegold and even Raymond.  It is a great side trip from a day on Bass Lake or after visiting the Childrens museum.

Fun with the Family

- December 2010

A re-created western town from the region’s early timber and ranching era. Old buildings have been moved here from all over the county—jails, schools, barns, wagons, buggies, and a furnished home. You can ramble around on your own anytime, or check in at the museum and gift shop to ask about guided tours. There are outdoor concerts on weekends, a playground, picnic tables, barbecues, and horseshoe pits, making this a busy hometown park
