Do you have a princess or ninja living at home?  How about a naturalist, superhero, or explorer?  While your child may live in a fantasy land, their luggage doesn’t have too!  Pottery Barn Kid’s is a trusted brand that delivers not only functional gear, but fun, whimsical designs that are kid tested and parent approved.  You know that when you order from them, you’re not only getting quality items, but a great price as well.  My family and I were fortunate enough to test out a few of their items that definitely left me wanting every product they sell!

Girls' Mackenzie Small Luggage

For my little princess, loading this chocolate and pink polka-dotted suitcase up was just as much fun as toting it around!  The inside compartment was large enough to pack at least a week’s worth of clothing in it as well as her lovey and shoes.  There is also a small zippered pouch in the inside at the top that was perfect for stashing hair bows and a brush and another larger zippered pocket on the inside front panel that can stash a few books or even dirty clothes.  Once closed, the front of this suitcase has two very handy elastic clips that you can fasten together and that will hold a pillow and small blanket or sleeping bag.  The telescoping handle has two positions, one that’s child-size and another that’s long enough for tall adults.  I am 5’4” and used the handle in the child-size position which was plenty long for me.  The wheels are probably my favorite detail on the bag as they are clear and oh so pretty- the glass slippers for this remarkable suitcase!

Girls' Mackenzie Classic Lunch Bags

This classic lunch bag makes a statement.  Not only is it moisture resistant and made with tough 600-denier polyester, but it’s easy to clean and comes in several different fun fabric prints!  Again, I received this bag in the chocolate and pink polka-dot design that I love, but it’s functionality is top-notch.  The inside is cushioned with a molded interior that’s easy to clean and keeps food fresher than normal lunch boxes.  It would be perfect for a parent with a small child to tote around bottles and snacks or for a school-age child taking lunches to school.  I love that it attaches to the front of the Pottery Barn Kid’s backpack too- maybe they won’t forget it at school?!

Girls' Mackenzie Large Backpacks

There is only one word to accurately describe this backpack:  WOW.  The large backpack really is large!  I was shocked and amazed at how many items fit into it.  We recently took a road trip a few states away, and I’m happy to report, this backpack held everything we could possibly need to entertain 4 kids for days of driving.  Inside the main compartment, there’s a pocket perfect for a laptop with a strap that secures it in the bag.  The large compartment is roomy enough to hold several large books or two full size binders and notebooks as well as a change of clothes.  The front top pocket is made for an IPOD or MP3 Player and has a hole for the headphones to stick out of.  Below that is another pocket for school gear, pencils, and a school id.  There’s also a zippered pouch, and more pockets.  The sides of the backpack have mesh water bottle pockets and the thick straps are very well cushioned and made for heavy loads.   I love that there are reflected threads in the details that adds another dimension to my child’s safety.   Another plus that’s mentioned previously is that the front has two elastic clips that can attach the Pottery Barn lunch bag or even a small blanket or pillow for an overnight trip!

Overall

I’ve fallen in love with the durability, design, and personalization of Pottery Barns’ Kid’s Gear.  There are so many wonderful fabrics to choose from for both boys and girls, that I am going to get a different set of luggage for every child in my family.  Thanks Pottery Barn!
