It seems these days that choosing a hotel is based upon a few things (swimming pool, refrig, microwave). So I am making a list of favorite hotel swimming pools as sometimes this is our starting point of picking a destination.
Please tell me your favorite hotel swimming pool, location, and why (zero entry, slides, indoor, etc). Thanks!
My two would be: Peppers Beach Cove and Spa (Australia) for its sand bottom and zero entry, and Homewood Suites (Anchorage, AK) because it was indoors and had a HUGE spa with a fountain in the middle that my 2 year old loved.
I really like Turtle Bay on Oahu. The pool has lush greenery all around making you feel like you are swimming in a tropical rainforest. There is a also a small slide for kids. The setting is lovely and fun for kids at the same time.
I just watched a pool special on the Travel Channel and the Golden Nugget in Las vegas had a pool with a clear tube slide that went through a shark tank! I thought that looked pretty amazing! The Hyatt Mission Bay in San Diego has a very nice pool area. There is a zero entry area which is nice for kids and a couple water slides. Plus the setting is gorgeous.
We loved the zero entry pools at the Sheraton Vistana in Orlando. They had a few water features for the kids to splash in as well. It was the perfect kid pool for kids of all sizes. My one year old could splash to his heart's content and my five year old nephew didn't feel like he was being held back!
Honestly, my favorite swimming pool at the Disneyland resort is the DLH pool(neverland pool)
