Parking near the Calif Academy of Sciences (CAS)

The concourse parking lot is right underneath the CAS, so it's probably as close as you can get! When you take the elevators up, you'll be right in front of the entrance for the Academy.

If you're headed their during the weekday, there's also plenty of free street parking in and around the museum when you enter the park from 9th Ave.

The concourse parking could be expensive if you plan to stay all day. If you want to park for free and are unable to find parking on JFK or Martin Luther King Jr. drive (the main park roads), we always find parking around Stow Lake which is just behind the DeYoung Museum. The walk from Stow Lake takes 5 to 15 minutes (depending which side you park on). Look at a park map or SF city map to find the lake. You can park on the street anywhere around the lake.

You can also park closer to the 9th Avenue Entrance to the park. We usually find some parking around the baseball fields.
