Kite flying fun at Treasure Island, Florida's 15th Annual Festival

Treasure Island has wide, white sand beaches and breezes that make kite flying a breeze! This free annual event has always been a favorite with the locals but also draws a great international crowd.

The 15th Annual Kite Festival and Competition will be held on January 14-15, 2012 at the Treasure Island Public Beach near the Thunderbird Beach Resort at 10700 Gulf Blvd.

There will be a Sport Kite Championship featuring multi-line kite-flyers from all over the country. Watch them compete in aerial ballets and perform in-air tricks.

Other activities include candy drops for the kidddos and lots more!
