Trekaroo moms and dads, if you've added bookmarks here on Trekaroo, please let us know how you wish we could improve them. Weigh in on how we can meet your needs. Leave a comment below with you suggestions. The features that are mentioned the most by all of you are the ones features we'll start working on first.
Hello All! :) I actually haven't used Bookmarks, except to take a peek at other people's, but what I would love is to be able to plan a trip in the bookmark section and list the places I'd like to stop and see along the way. For example, if I'm taking a road trip to Colorado, I'd like to be able to see all the places I could stop along the way on a map that other families have already reviewed and then select them to add to my road trip. This might be a feature already available in the bookmark or another section, so if it is, I'm going to start using it right away! Thanks! :)
Yeah, you can already do a very basic version of what you described. Take it for a spin and see what you think of it and let us know how you can improve it. On any activity or hotel, you can click "bookmark". If you click of "view bookmarks", it'll take you to your passport's bookmark tab.
You can add comments there and you can rearrange the bookmarks.
You can also view all the bookmarks on a google map.
You can't print the bookmarks at this time and you can't create folders. There is just one bookmark folder.
After seeing your question, I decided to try out the Bookmarks feature, because I hadn't really payed attention to it yet. I added several activities in Alaska that we may want to visit this summer. Printing them would be a nice feature, but probably not that necessary.
Being spoiled by facebook, however, I would like to be notified if someone writes a review on any of those activities in the next month. Then I would know to go back and check those activities for more information.
Having a folder for bookmarks would be excellent. I would definitely use that feature to group activities for different areas of the country that we may travel to this year.
