Where can I see fall foliage in Sonoma county?
Annadel State Park has quite a few of big maple trees near the creeks which turn vibrant colors. Annadel is located east of Santa Rosa. http://www.trekaroo.com/activities/annadel-state-p
Jack London State Park is also nice for hikes with breath-taking vistas of Wine Country ablaze with autumn colors. There are long and arduous hikes like the Ridge Trail as well as easy ones through the forest depending on the ages and energy levels of your kids.

The Sonoma Overloook trail is also nice if you're looking for something in the town of Sonoma.

California's "Wine Country" has 3 main counties: Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino. They're all next to each other and easy to drive from one to the next. So the point is you can see glorious autumn foliage anywhere there! We rented a timeshare (from our ever favorite http://www.redweek.com) at the Vino Bello Resort, and spent the days either motoring out across the valley, or enjoying bike rides through the rolling hills of vineyards. Everywhere you go the fall color is just stunning, because even the vineyards have their own fall foliage beauty. By the way, since we had kids with us we didn't take advantage of this, but if you're going to be in that area check out the Napa Valley Wine Train - it's a fancy restaurant that we thought looked like a lot of fun!
