"Fresh Grown"

We have always enjoyed stopping at the farmers market wherever we are if there is one open when we are there. Here was  no exception, we were able to use double  stroller there for the children. I like to use it as way to teach them even at a young age that food is not always found in a store, but that people around them help feed them so to speak. The staff was friendly and curtious and couldn't get enough of the kids flirting with them.

"mmm mmm...."

My son loves going here and pickin out all our goodies! There are about five open air barns there. Three of them sell fruits & vegetables in larger quantities, bushels, half bushels, etc.. There are great selections of pumpkins, & gordes there in the fall. It's my favorite time to go there. These three barns you drive along side each one, & if you see something you want, you stop, buy it, & load it in you car on site. Then you park your car in the parking area & walk through the other two barns to shop. The two walk through barns have all the yummy jams, jellies, honeys, and the absolutely best ever ciders of all kinds. My personal favorite is Muscadine, warmed. There is a nursery as well, and hand made craft items, flower arrangements, and lovely dried flowers. Also country ham, candies, nuts, and an eatery as well. All I have to say about this farmers market is good. If you visit in the fall, you can buy some of the best apples, and there are many different kinds. Chesnuts are also a nice treat. To get there, you take exit # 2 off of interstate 26, or exit # 47 off of interstate 40.
