Maybe it wasn't so fun for my 9-month-old (well, he did enjoy looking at all the other people in line), but anyone old enough to enjoy a doughnut will love this place! There is nothing but fun here, and the sometimes long line is well worth it. Voodoo offers creative toppings for their delicious doughnuts, as well as creative names for the treats themselves. My favorites are the bacon maple bar, the voodoo doll, and the captain my captain (topped with Captain Crunch cereal).
A Portland gem, Voodoo doughnuts has the most delicious and unique (to say the least) doughnuts! Though I am a fan of their plain 'ole glazed doughnuts, my husband and kids always opt for their cereal topped creations. Don't shy away from the long line, it usually moves quickly. Know what you want when you get to the front and have cash. Don't plan on going on a Saturday night, they are almost always sold out of everything.
The long lines are worth the wait. There are so many choices to satisfy everyone in the family. Our favorites were the bacon maple bar and the apple fritters. The menu is fun and the doughnuts were delicous! A must visit place and don't forget to bring cash.
She'll LOVE VooDoo Doughnut.
The music is zany, the people are crazy, and mommy's in a really good mood after a maple bacon bar.
Back in to park, ditch the stroller, and carry or wrap baby. There was one couple with a stroller and they were getting the stink eye. This place is CROWDED.
Less than ten bucks for 4-5 donuts makes this tourist trap better than most. My baby loved it.
Voodoo Doughnuts is a favorite of Portlanders. Who wants a boring old donut? At Voodoo your kids can choose from a wide variety of doughnuts with names like Dirt (raised donut covered with vanilla glaze and Oreo cookies), Grape Ape (raised donut covered with vanilla frosting and grape powder), a Maple Bacon Bar (yep, a maple bar with strips of bacon), and the original Voodoo Donut (shaped like a voodoo doll with frosting and a pretzel stick "pin"). The menu is always changing as they come up with fun and new ideas. And while you're there, you might even see a wedding! Both Voodoo locations offer full wedding services. Bet you can't find that in Vegas.
