Trail of Tears State Park

Trail of Tears state park is just a short 15 minute drive from Cape Girardeau and offers incredible scenic views and hiking trails.  There is at least one lake which was fun to picnic at and several overlooks with benches set up.  Trails are natural, so the terrain could be difficult for new walkers or older walkers:), but fun outdoor family activity, for sure.
