family-oriented sports bar and grill
Dining at Z Fun Factory’s in-house restaurant on a Friday evening means you will be dining with a crowd, because this place is popular. My family of 7 (kids ages 10, 7, 5, 3, and 1) enjoyed our meal here, and even though there were a lot of people, we didn’t feel rushed or have to wait long for service.
The Canteen serves traditional American food like burgers and pizza. Even though it is at an amusement park, the food doesn’t taste like it’s from a concessions stand. The kid’s meals come with side choices of fries, apples, or salad. I love when kid’s menus have healthy options. The portions on the kid’s meals were just about right, but the kid’s pizza is the same size as the regular personal size pizza (8”). Unless your child is a big eater, you could have 2 kids split this meal. I ordered a Grilled Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich and it was delicious. I was able to sub a salad for the side choice without any problems. My husband got a pizza and said it was good, but not incredible.
The service was quick and our server was helpful and friendly. The kid’s menus come with crayons and games. There is a playground area in the middle of the restaurant where you can send the kids when they start to get restless. If you don’t want your kids to get up in the middle of the meal, make sure to request a seat away from it.
The Canteen is a fun place to eat with quality food. I’d recommend eating here when coming to play at Z Fun Factory.
Disclosure: My family was given a complimentary meal at The Canteen for the purpose of review but the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
