Enjoy a scrumptious full service breakfast, lunch and après ski appetizers and cocktails before or after a day exploring the mountain. TC's Pub mixes casual family dining with local flare while also serving as the premiere sports viewing venue complete with surrounding plasma TV's.
We like TC's for the nachos, and to be honest, for the margaritas! It can get crowded when the lifts stop turning around 4-5pm, as it's the last dining option before catching the shuttle busses to parking lots and ski condos, but if you return later, it will be relatively quiet. I say relatively, because it is, after all, a sports bar and grill, and will get the usual sports-viewing patrons. Stop in here for a quick dinner before watching a movie!
A classic pub atmosphere with an Alpine twist, TC's Pub is a family friendly establishment offering filling breakfast, lunch and apres ski options for those needing to fuel up before hitting the slopes, the cross country trails, the tubing park and the various parts of Northstar where patrons can burn those calories!
My family enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here and after taking a poll among my brood, here is our tasty list of morsels you should not pass up!
- This place serves a breakfast sandwich that is out of this world, according to my husband and my oldest child. Think waffles instead of English muffins or bagels bookending Canadian bacon or sausage.
- My youngest devoured a stack of pancakes.
- My vote is in for the veggie breakfast scramble!
All votes across the board went to the burgers. You see my family likes to construct their own sandwiches. At TC's you pick your own patty (veggie burger, angus beef, portabella mushroom or chicken breast --- even bison!) Then you select your bread (Brioche Bun, Cracked Oat Bun or
Iceberg Lettuce Bed) and finally up to four toppings. With options like that, everyone in the family was able to find something to suit their tastes.
The lunch menu also included vegetarian and low carb options, standard pub food like fish and chips as well as an array of delicious sandwiches.
And because this is a classy establishment, there is a suggested beer and ale pairing with each dish!
Hands down, the whole crew loved the Panda Pretzel Bites: bites of soft pretzels served with a creamy mustard sauce. Hey what's not to love here, especially with a suggested pairing of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale!
So stop in! You'll find a comfortable casual atmosphere and a friendly staff waiting to serve you!
Disclosure: Thanks to Northstar at Tahoe for hosting my family. Although my family received complimentary lodging, dining, and activities, my reviews are always my own opinions and are not influenced by staff or its affiliates.
