The food here is really good, but the environment is what brings us back. Picnic style dining tables and a toy box for the kids to choose toys from, allows the parents to sit down and eat and the kids to have fun while dining out. The down side is that the price for the food is high.
I've been to many BBQ restaurants, especially since I live in the tri-state area, and this place really blew me away. Smokey's Kitchen went above and beyond in every single way and the ribs were among the best I've ever tasted. The restaurant was very kid-friendly and had many more good things than just BBQ ribs.
No trip to Tahoe is complete without a stop at Smokey's Kitchen for their thick, tangy beef ribs and delcious sides. Mmmm. Finger licking and guaranteed to satisfy. If your kids can't handle ribs, try the pulled pork sandwich. The meat is tender enough for babies and maybe easier for them to eat.
Not only will your kids love the food, but Smokey's also has a giant toybox ready for your kids to explore. Ok, so the toys probably haven't been cleaned in years and are most likely covered in a microbial soup thicker than bbq sauce, but hey, that is all part of the charm.
