Safeway (Sushi)

"Surprisingly Good Sushi in a Grocery Store."

At a recent shopping trip my daughter spied the Sushi bar at Safeway and was very insistent on getting some.  I have never had Sushi from anywhere but a Sushi bar so I was a little apprehensive.  My husband said lets just get it and if it's not good we can make something at the house.  We picked up an Avocado Roll, cucumber roll, a caterpillar roll and a spicy tuna roll.  These where terrific!  So fresh and so tasty!  This is a self serve, grab a prepared box and go type of place in the deli section.  There where two ladies preparing the Sushi and it seems as though there is a quick turn around.   I am not sure if you can request a certain type of roll but I can't see why that would be a problem.  They where very nice to my daughter too.  When she asked for a small bowl of rice they where happy to give her a little bowl and call it a sample..no cost!  This is definitely a place I will buy Sushi from again.  It's a great option when in a hurry.  The cost was really good also.  For a large portion the prices ranged between $3.99 to 5.99.  So reasonable!!
