Romo's had mixed reviews on Yelp. We decided to eat here because some Yelpers posted some great pictures of the food. Being from SoCal, we are picky on our Mexican food!
The restaurant wasn't packed when we arrived, but it filled up quickly. We were seated quickly near a table where a rambunctious family was letting their little kids run around the restaurant, roll on the floor, scream, etc. Not optimal, but fortunately they left as we were eating. A Mother & her 2 daughters were seated near us after we arrived. They apparently weren't served fast enough so they bailed without ordering. It was crowded, but the poor waiter was doing his best, so we had sympathy.
The food was actually pretty good. The chili rellanos were thin batter (just like we like them) and the salsa - our measurement of any Mexican restaurant - was excellent. we went through two carafes of it! The servings were generous as well.
If you hit it on a busy night, be patient. The food is definitely worth the wait!
