"Popular lunch spot"
We came here on a Sunday afternoon during lunch and the parking lot was jam packed. We did another go-around and were able to find a 30-minute parking spot the second time around. Going in to order was a little frenzied with lots of people standing around and others coming and going...I wasn't sure who was waiting to order or waiting for their food after they've ordered. The numerous staff behind the counter are either calling out a number or asking if anybody is ready to order. We ordered a tuna sandwich and a fish plate. The food was good (not great) and definitely fresh. With as many customers as this place gets, you know that there is high turnover of food. However, I found the food to be over-priced for what you get. There is outdoor or enclosed patio seating available. Highchairs are also available. Make sure to bring cash or your checkbook because this place is CASH or CHECK ONLY.

"The perfect place to grab lunch in San Diego"
On a recent trip to San Diego, a waiter told me about a place called Point Loma Seafoods. He told me it was a seafood deli where you could get sandiches and take with you to the beach (specifically Cabrillo National Monument). We decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did. The place was packed with people on a Sunday afternoon. It is like a giant deli but all based around fresh seafood. Its located right on the harbor and you can see the fishing boats from the patio. Everything in there is fresh and reasonably priced. My kids had the fish strips (they also have chicken if your kids don't like fish) and loved them. I had a crab sandwich which was awesome and full of lumps of real crab. My husband had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and said it was as good as anything he has had in San Francisco (and thats saying alot). They have outside seating where you can either sit at a table and enjoy the oceany air or concrete benches which face the harbor. We saw no less than 4 sea lions while we were witing for our food. We ended up taking our sandwiches with us due to time constraints but next time I think we eat and watch the sea lions because of the wonderful ambiance. This is one of those places where adults can have adult food while kids can still run around and have fun. A great find!
