Petra's Bistro

"Wonderful place for a nice night out "

We have three year old toddlers so a night out at a nice restaurant doesn't happen very often. When my husband and I learned that the lovely people at Snowcreek Resort were sending our family to a night out at Petra's, we were very excited and nervous all at the same time.  Why? Because were afraid that the restaurant wouldn't be the type of place that enjoyed having the younger set around and our children aren't exactly used to upscale dining.

Upon arriving, we found the staff at Petra's to be incredibly helpful and happy to have our little ones in their establishment. Though the restaurant doesn't offer a children's menu, they do have some kid friendly meal options on the main menu. My kids decided to split homemade macoroni and cheese and devoured every creamy bite. They also managed to act like well mannered children which was quite a surprise.  I think they sensed that they were someplace special.

The staff knew to bring out the kid's food as soon as it was ready instead of waiting until the adult's meals were finished which was very nice. We ordered a ahi appetizer that was melt in your mouth heaven. For my main course,  I chose the scallops which were cooked to perfection.  My husband opted for the steak which he gave two thumbs way up.  While we savored our scallops and steak, the kids enjoyed some ice cream in a fancy dish, giving us time to moan and drool over every bite.
