My family of 7 (kids ages 0-9) visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening around 5:30. The food was delicious but my husband was a little disappointed with the size of his "burro."
The location is in a rundown looking strip mall. Inside the restaurant looks a little nicer, but it's nothing fancy. We saw many other families dining with young kids. We were seated right away and a server promptly came to help us. The service was pretty good. The food came out very quickly. My only complaint was that it did take a while for our drinks to come out (not until after our food) and it took a long time for them to bring our check.
Now for the food...we didn't order torta's but saw some on plates nearby and they were huge! Those would definitely fill you up. The asada burro my husband ordered would not. Being called a burro instead of a burrito implies that it's big, but this was a burrito for sure. He loved it, he just needed two. My King Tacos de Pollo (hold the jalapeño ) were very good. The guacamole that came on the side was very flavorful. The kids menu had good options. My kids got a cheeseburger (tried a bite and loved it), Plato de pollo (one child inhaled the beans and another praised the chicken), and a bean and cheese burrito (not from the kids menu but she ate the whole thing, which shows how small the burritos are since she is not a big eater).
Prices are average, about $9 for an adult meal and $5 for a kids meal. The value is just about right, with the exception of the small burro. But the food is so good that I would have to recommend this restaurant to families in the Phoenix area,
