Recently opened  Jack Creek Grille, located slope side in the Moonlight Lodge is an elegant but casual restaurant.   The menu features selections, with mouthwatering grass-fed steaks, creative seafood, wild game, and vegetarian dishes, using local and organic products whenever possible. Accompanying the menu is a great selection of wines, local and regional micro-beers, and a full bar. The adjacent Jack Creek Bar features a full bar, and après ski appetizers and entertainment.  The kids menu offers home made selections of regular kid favorites, all served with fresh fruit for just $7.
A few times a year, Moonlight Basin offers a Kids Movie Night that’s free for kids when their parents are dining at Jack Greek Grille for dinner.  The kids get comfy on beanbags and sleeping bags, get fresh pop corn and s’mores while mom and dad have a nice dinner by the grand fireplace at Jack Creek Grille.  Great for local moms and dads who are looking for a fun date night, but also great for visiting families.

"Great Food for both parents and adults"

The new Jack Creek Grille at Moonlight Basin was the best meal I had during our stay at Big Sky. I'm a foodie, so it was delightful to find a restaurant that brings such finesse to hearty mountain cuisine.  The menu was diverse....it was hard to choose between all the mouthwatering options.  However, I wasn't sorry I picked the Bison short ribs.  They were tender and packed with flavor.  They were moist without feeling overly greedy.  The tempura asparagus was a hit with everyone.  The french onion soup was made from scratch and comforting with every bite.  On a cold winter day, I couldn't think of a more perfect meal.

The atmosphere of the dining room is grand with an enormous stone fireplace in the middle of the dining room.  Moonlight Basin's lodge has the feeling of mountain lodge feel similar to Ahwanee in Yosemite.  Combined with the views of the ski slopes, ending your day with dinner at Jack Creek Grille would be treat for the whole family.  Mom and Dad can indulge while the kids can enjoy a made from scratch kid-friendly meal.

For the creativity and quality of the menu, Jack Creek Grille is very reasonably priced.  Most dinner entrees were in between $15-25.  The kid's menu was just $7 and comes with a side of fresh fruit.  The portions were very generous and my boys simply LOVED the homemade mac and cheese.

*Disclosure:  I received a complimentary meal at Jack Creek Grill as part of media tour.  However, all these opinions are my own and was not influenced by the restaurant or resort staff.
