We had friends in town who wanted to eat here, and I had heard of this controversial restaurant on TV, so we checked it out. The premise is that the food here is so unhealthy that it’ll give you a heart attack- waitresses are all dressed in (skimpy) nurse outfits, and the customers all wear hospital gowns & get plastic hospital bracelets. People over 350 pounds eat for free (after being weighed in on the restaurant’s scale). The burger was pretty good, but I was surprised at how expensive it was- $7-8 for a single patty burger, and the fries are sold separately. The fries were cooked in pure lard, and not very impressive (though I’m not a huge fry person), but there were unlimited refills. No kids’ menu, and definitely no healthy choices. The only drinks they have are milkshakes, soda, water & beer. The hardest thing about eating here was the seating- they had (one) highchair, but the tables & counters were all super high, making it impossible for the kids to eat properly. I ended up seating my 5-yr-old precariously on a bar stool scooted up the counter, and balanced my 2-yr-old on my knee- not ideal. Also, they don't take credit cards, but there is an ATM inside the restaurant. It was a fun place to check out & the food was good, but we probably won’t be back anytime soon. *One more note- the sign on the building isn't lit up, so the restaurant is a bit hard to find in the dark.
