Frank and Alberts is the Arizona Biltmore’s family-friendly dining spot. Meals are basically comfort food with a sophisticated twist. The atmosphere is cool and casual but I wouldn’t say more sundress casual than sweaty shorts and tanks casual. My kids ordered the sliders and loved them. The portions were actually quite huge for a kids meal, plenty to bring back to the room for when they suddenly decide 45 minutes later that they are “starving”. My husband ordered the special which was a steak and said it was very good. I decided that since it was a comfort food joint I would see how one of my favorite comfort foods, meatloaf, held up. The meatloaf was actually extremely good and the glaze on top was mouthwatering. It was served atop mashed potatoes (really, can you go wrong?) and crispy onion strings (again, is it possible to go wrong?) and I was in carb heaven. Prices are typical for a resort, higher than average because you are essentially paying to not have to leave the hotel. There is a mall about a mile away with various dining options such as the Cheesecake Factory and the resort offers a complimentary shuttle to the mall so I would probably be more likely to save a couple bucks and eat there. That being said, if you have had a long day and just want to stay on site, this really is a very good place to eat.
Disclosure: My family was hosted by Arizona Biltmore Resort and our stay included a meal at Frank and Alberts for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
