"Fresh bread on a bike ride"

We had been visiting the Rhode Island shores for years before we discovered Daddy's bread about 10 years ago. Apparently it is a well kept secret because it has been there for a long time. Daddy's is a homemade bread shop where you can get some very tasty bread. There are also other  treats available in the summer like cookies and fresh fruit and drinks. This works out good for us as we like to take a family bike ride there to get a couple of loaves of bread. We can also get some treats for energy for the ride back. Daddy's is on the corner in a rather run-down looking beach building where I assume the baking takes place. All transactions are cash and on the honor system as no one is there to take your money. There is also a visitors log and local information. Our favorite bread is the PDG (pretty darn good or parmaesan, dill and garlic). We have to buy 2 loaves because we eat it so fast. All baked fresh daily. Go early for best selection. Full loaves are 6 dollars each.
