"Friendly place"
Just a few blocks from the beach (if you have small kids, better drive), it's billed as a bar, but during daytime in the summer it's very family-friendly. The dining area is separate from the bar, and our kid had a blast. It has old-school appearance, cool atmosphere, and you can always use the more elegant dining area.
