Our friends took us to Chompie's for dinner one night to show off their favorite Scottsdale area eatery. The crowd was definitely older (think lots of seniors) but the setting was certainly kid-friendly. I ordered the sliders and couldn't begin to finish it all. The kids had breakfast for dinner, always a big hit. The deep fried matzo balls were tasty. Next time I want to try the matzo ball soup- well when we visit Scottsdale in the winter perhaps. I can't imagine soup being appealing in the summer heat. The deli also serves up a huge array of deserts so save room for those. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely eat at Chompie's again.
We love eating at this bustling place! We’re greeted with a bowl of pickles when we sit down, and there are tons of signs & lights on the walls to look at. The entrees are little on the expensive side (breakfast $8-10, dinner $11-14), but they are HUGE & always tasty. (Some of the things I’ve had: BBQ chicken salad, deep-fried matzo balls, whole wheat French toast, potato pancakes.) The kid’s meals would easily feed 2 kids ($4-$6), and the kid's menu has New York trivia & games, alongside some 'mommy & tummy approved' entrees. The menu is huge, they serve breakfast for dinner, and have gluten-free and “fitness boot camp” options on the menu. The best part about this place? The kid’s meal come with really tasty sugar cookies, baked fresh in their on-site bakery- or for a dollar or so, you can upgrade to a big, colorful Sesame Street cupcake! The bakery also boasts an array of tasty treats to take home for kids & adults alike, such as fresh bagels, bread, cakes, cookies, pastries & even some sugar-free and/or gluten-free goodies! This place is always packed, so we try to go during less busy nights.
