"Great frozen yogurt, terrific topping selection"

My daughter is lactose intolerant so I am always searching for ice cream places that serve yogurt or lactose free alternatives. Generally, the options are slim and disappointing. So, when we recently discovered this new little frozen yogurt place tucked next to Babies R Us in Pearl Highlands (up the hill from Sam's Club on Kam Highway), we were pleasantly surprised.

Cherry on Top is a serve yourself yogurt place done in simple, modern decor with a terrific kid sized table with lots of chairs right in the middle of the room. When we walked in, we were greeted by the girl working the counter and offered several little cups for tasting the various flavors. We found the enormous serving cups and headed to the yogurt dispensers. My daughter was so happy, she could reach the handles and actually dispense her own yogurt. After placing a small amount of frozen yogurt in the bowl, they both  headed for the topping tables. The candy table is terrific but the part that amazes me is the fruit table. The selection and quality of cut fruits is fantastic.

So aside from everyone getting to pick what they want and having fun putting their own treats together, I have also found the price cannot be beat. The price is 36 cents an ounce. What does this equate to - well, since they weight of the bowl is deducted, two adults and two kids can each have their own bowl with a decent amount for about 2/3 the price of other ice cream places.
