The Alana s is in the middle of Redwood City next to the Redwood City library. It is an old Victorian house with a wonderful garden. There is outside seating available. The inside is also nice, but I recommend outside seating. They have some old trees, a little fountain and a lawn area and the garden has a fence, perfect for toddlers who love to run around. The staff is kid friendly and we always got a little toy for our kid.
Food and coffee are also great, e.g. the pancakes (they are the best!!!), quiche or scrambled eggs. There might be places that offer a bigger choice of food, but this here is really yummie. Usually, you do not have to wait long to be served.
Reservations are only accepted for parties over 6 people and the place is very popular, so be prepared to maybe wait a bit.
