"Hats, hats everywhere... and great food to boot!"

The Ajax Cafe in Port Hadlock, near Port Townsend, combines food and fun in such a wonderful way. My kids loved that the restaurant was covered in wall to wall hats and that they had free reign to try on as many as they possibly could. It got us all into a silly mood and kept the kids entertained so we could actually enjoy our meal. The food was wonderful. I ordered an entire plate of local clams in a tomato cream sauce that was divine.I am salivating just thinking about them. There is a children's menu available which features local favorites as well as traditional kids meal fare.This is THE place to eat if you are in the area. Make a point of it. Also, be aware that it can be crowded during the busy summer season so plan accordingly.
