We are big fans of Mexican food. Having lived in Southern California most of my life, we are privy to some of the best Mexican restaurants this side of the border and Adobe Grill at the La Quinta Resort did not disappoint. Serving up Oaxacan (pronounced HUA-ha-can) regional fare, the authentic dining experience at Adobe Grill is a must-try while visiting La Quinta.
Don't miss their award-winning tamale options including Chicken Machaca, Beef Machaca, Carnitas, or Rajas with Manchego Cheese, all served with Teresita Rice and Frijoles Borrachos.
The tableside guacamole was a hit for my avocado loving girls. Traditionally prepared at your table with Avocado, Onions, Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Cilantro & Lime Juice, the waiter happily left the jalepenos on the side for my some-don't-like-it-hot little ones.
Moms and dads will love sampling the signature margaritas at Adobe Grill. Their master tequilero serves up more than 100 tequilas in a variety of margarita styles served by the glass or by the pitcher.
The kid's menu boasted standard Mexican fare for little ones including burritos, rice and beans, tacos, and more. Kids were kept busy with coloring pages and the outdoor dining scene near the fireplace made the atmosphere fun and relaxing for the whole family.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary meal at Adobe Grill while staying at the La Quinta Resort. All opinions are my own.
