Yosemite National Park

The winter of Yosemite brings snow, frozen waterfalls and lots of family fun.  Ice skating under the shadow of Half Dome is an experience not to miss.

Christmas and the many winter holidays can be celebrated on the ski slopes of Badger Pass, walking or cross-country skiing on the open meadows or basking in the warm firelight of the Ahwahnee Hotel Lobby.

Several Yosemite Hotels and local Resorts offer special winter and holiday activities and are highlighted in the list below.  Most hotel reservations fill very quickly during the holiday season with most valley lodging having been booked a year in advance.  If reservations are not to be found, a day trip to the Valley floor is still worth the beautiful drive, but carry snow tire chains no matter the weather!
