When you think about the beautiful, snow-capped mountaintop views in Colorado, they are probably thinking about the South Central region. Home to about half of the state's Fourteeners (mountains with summits above 14,000 ft), your kids can't miss these natural beauties. Beware of the higher elevation. The valley floors are often above 6500 ft which means you need to stay hydrated and rested. Be sure to pack water bottles for each member of the family to remind each person to drink water.
