Molokai

Molokai is the fifth-largest and the least developed of the main Hawaiian Islands. It’s nicknamed the “Friendly Isle,” and after one visit you’ll understand why. The environment here is more rural than a typical small town in Anywhere, U.S.A. There are no high-rises, no fast-food chains, and there’s not a single traffic light on the whole island. I tried to include street addresses whenever possible for the attractions listed in this chapter, but on this very small island everyone knows everyone else, so if you can’t find something, simply ask for directions. Molokai is a twenty-minute hop by air from Honolulu. Its tip is a mere 22 miles from Oahu....
