Disneyland Hotel
1150 Magic Way,
Anaheim, California
"Loved the Disneyland Hotel"
First off let me start by saying that is had been a dream of mine, since I was about 10 years old to stay at the Disneyland hotel. I grew up in Arizona and traveled to LA area for track meets quite a bit. During those visits we would take a day and go to Disneyland. I just loved the idea, even at 10 years old, of staying so close to all the magic. I made my first trip to the Disneyland hotel when I was about 35 years old and it was everything I had dreamed it to be. The location is key! You are just a quick walk or monorail ride away from Disneyland and just steps for Downtown Disney where you can enjoy dining and shopping. We loved the themed pool at The Disneyland Hotel! The landscaping is beautiful at this hotel as well with gardens and waterfalls. We enjoyed our room with 2 queen beds and a nice sized bath with a separate vanity area outside the bathroom. Rooms at this hotel have now been remodeled with new bedding, new carpet and new furniture to give it an updated look. I can't wait to check out the newly designed rooms. From the pictures I have seen, they now have those nice white duvet covers instead of the icky bedspreads! We also enjoyed Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. Goofy's Kitchen offers character dining so this is a great place to go to have your children interact with some of the most beloved Disney characters. I would not hesitate to stay at the Disneyland hotel again!

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Orlando
1000 Universal Studios Plaza,
Orlando,
Florida
"Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Worth it!! "
What a great addition to Universal. Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWofHP) is located inside Islands of Adventure. I personally have not read one Harry Potter book or even seen one movie but I still loved it! There really is not many rides, I think 4 total and this area is quite small with just a few shops but it is my understanding that it is very authentic to the books and movies (my 16 year old daughter loves all things HP). You won't want to miss the Forbidden Journey, this is an amazing ride and worth the wait but if you don't mind riding this ride alone, try the single rider line to bypass the long line! Also, try the butterbeer, this is a non-alcoholic beverage that is only sold inside the WWofHP. You will not find any sodas (cokes, sprite etc) inside WWofHP either so make note of this. Just pack your patience as this is a very popular area inside Islands of Adventure and you will have a wonderful time!

EPCOT - Disney
Epcot Center Drive,
Lake Buena Vista,
Florida 32830
Epcot is really made up of two separate areas. First you have Future World that offers hands on activities for young and old alike as well as some fun rides like Soarin and Test Track. Little ones will love the Nemo ride and Turtle Talk with Crush. The second part of Epcot is World Showcase that offers buildings and restaurants that depict different countries. If your children enjoy arts and crafts, they will love visiting each of the countries, that are truly authentic, as they each offer a craft to make. Plus each country offers some sort of Disney character meet and greet. If you are going to Walt Disney World then I would set aside one day to visit Epcot as there is something for everyone!

Disneys Wilderness Lodge
901 Timberline Drive,
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
"Short Boat Ride to Magic Kingdom"
Loved Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
I stayed here with my 2 girls for 3 nights and we all loved it. Our room had a queen size bed and a set of bunkbeds which worked out perfectly for us because we all got our own sleeping area!
The bathroom offered a separate vanity area which is great too because one person can be taking a shower while the other is getting ready.
We enjoyed our view of our room too which was of the pool area. We enjoyed the quick service dining option (Roaring forks) at this resort and I even used the gym area to work out!
But the best part of this resort was the short boat ride to Magic Kingdom. We loved that we could be at Magic Kingdom within a matter of minutes!! Great location and family friendly makes this a great Disney resort location!

Disney's Boardwalk Resort
2101 N Epcot Resorts Blvd,
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
"Perfect Location to visit Epcot"
As other reviewers have mentioned, this resort is great for families and I would definitely bring my kids but on this particular visit (sept 10) it was just me and my husband to celebrate our anniversary.
We stayed club level and really enjoyed our room and the food offerings in the club level lounge. Our room had a king size bed with a view of the courtyard. I would have loved a view of the actual boardwalk but it was not available for our check in date.
The staff in the club level was wonderful and they remembered our names and were very accommodating in answering my questions and making dining reservations for us.
I chose this location because we wanted to be close to Epcot. Within a few minutes by boat we were walking into Epcot. We also enjoyed the nightlife on the boardwalk and the shopping and dining locations along the boardwalk are really good too!
We did not visit the pool area although it looked like so much fun. Keep in mind that if you have small children (or big children) that are afraid of clowns, then this pool area is not for you as the main feature of the pool here is a giant clown slide.
I would definitely stay here again and really enjoyed the location and amenities it offers!
