What a beautiful home and grounds to visit. Throughout the year they hold special events such as a Civil War encampment in the fall, carriage rides in the summer, special Christmas activities with decorated Christmas trees and outdoor lighted figures, trees, etc. The gift shop is elegant which mirrors its surroundings completely.

A great zoo for the whole family!! I love to see the animals in their natural environment!! There are some in glass cages that are fun to watch, especially the monkeys. There are all kinds of shows with the animals too. The gift shop is great fun with so much to choose from.

IF you're looking for something to do with your hands and eyes and ears then this is the place for you. There is so much to do you don't know where to begin. There are things to do outside as well that are just as fun. A great family place for all ages, especially elementary school ages. Bring your lunch as well.

What an educational trip for all!! The ride out on the ferry is fun for starters. The walk around the base of the statue is breathtaking! The view of NYC from the island is also spectacular! There is a lot of educational reading to be done around the base, the gift shop has lots to offer with a variety of price tags and a trip up the statue is magnificent too! A definite must while visiting NYC.

THE FINGER LAKES REGIONSampson State Park

This state park is a great place to camp. Its is right on Seneca Lake State Park so it has access through their own marina. The fishing is good right from the pier. It also has hiking trails along the lake and around the campground. Their is a rec. center for those rainy days too. There is a Naval museum to tour and soon there will be a cemetery for Veterans down the road. The swimming area is decent in size with a sandy/stony beach. Lifeguards are provided.
