About Me & My Family
I am a Stay at home mom to my boys, ages 5, 3 and 1. My husband and I have been married almost 8 years and love vacations that we can enjoy as a whole family. For now we are the type who like take weekend trips at the spur of the moment. Maybe when our children are older we can plan longer trips, but I just haven't had the courage yet. I love that we live in the city of Las Vegas were it seems there is always a fun day trip awaiting.

Favorite Vacation Memory
My favorite vacation memory so far was from our recent trip to Anaheim. We went to see the Playhouse Disney Live show at California Adventure and I got to witness the most surprised look on my two year olds face, priceless! It was his first time seeing Mickey and it was just the puppet but yet he stood in shock for about five minutes with his hands over his mouth. It was even harder later to pull him away from the life sized characters.
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
The worse travel moment would have to be a road trip I took alone with my kids to Texas and realized I left half the clothes on the bed back home unpacked. I forgot socks for everyone, one child had shirts but no pants and my other child I only packed PJ's. I was a little embarrassed the next day taking my kids shopping in their pajama's.

"Not too much to offer, but fun"
My family recently visited here for the first time. I have to say my husband and I weren't too impressed but my children loved it. I have a four and two year old and it was great that most rides had no line. We entered right when it opened and hit up the Playhouse Disney Live show which my kids loved. During the show they have bubbles and leaves that fall down that the kids had fun popping and grabbing (the small things always amaze them). One big thing I will plan for next visit is bringing them in swim clothes. The park had a few splash areas and we went at a hot time of year and they would have enjoyed that. We had lunch at Taste Pilots Grill, the kid sized burgers were not very good but the chicken was. Make sure if you have an annual pass to get your discount there.

Crystal Cove State Park
Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beac,
Corona del Mar,
California
While on a trip to Disneyland I decided to check out trekaroo reviews on beaches around the area. I came across Crystal Cove reviews and decided to check it out. I was so not disappointed! It did cost us $15 to enter the park, which their website said $10. Friends thought I was crazy to spend when beaches are free but it is so peaceful and natural there. At the time of the visit I was six months pregnant and my children were 4 and 2 and did not want to have to stress at a crowed beach. Most people we came across where daily runners and there was only a couple other families there. I can't wait to go back we didn't get to experience the tide pools because we were just enjoying the water.

V-Ultimate Variety Show
Las Vegas,
Nevada
With this show you really get a good variety of samples of other shows on the strip. I dont feel its as high quality as other shows but again its a third or fourth of the price. You get a mix of acrobats and performers which still offers excitement. The content is appropreate for children to watch.

IMAX Theatre
Las Vegas,
Nevada
I took family that was in town there a few times and they loved it. If you have never seen a 3D show in Imax its a whole new experience. You will see people trying to reach out and grab the objects. Now that you can see 3D movies in the theather people may be reluctant to spend money for this. The 3D effects are about the same but adding in the element of an IMAX screen really takes it over the top.

"Great place on the Strip"
It can get a little pricey but they do offer discounts for locals, military, etc. They have an area where you can touch certain sea life which will entertain the kids for quite a long time. A tunnel where the sharks can swim around you. My kids love the jelly fish tank. I would give it more stars if it was a little bigger.
