Discovery Place
301 N. Tryon St.,
Charlotte,
North Carolina 28202
I grew up going to Discovery Place every time we visited Charlotte and it is still fabulous! It is HUGE HUGE HUGE! There is fun for anybody, from children to adults. Be sure to check out the OmniMax which is way better than IMAX! Your kids are sure to love it too!

Hard Rock Cafe New York
1501 Broadway,
New York (Manhattan),
New York
Seems like if you've been to one Hard Rock Cafe you've been to them all! I guess it's nice to get a souvenier shirt. This is better for tweens and teens as I think they are more into the Hard Rock idea. Not the best one I've ever been too, but maybe you will like it.

American Museum of Natural History
American Museum of Natural History,
79th Street And Central Park West,
New York (Manhattan),
New York 10024
If your kids have seen the movie, they will love this museum. It is huge so don't plan on seeing everything, unless you run through it. The dinosaurs skeletons are a little boy pleaser for sure! Entertaining and fun for both children and adults! ALL AGES!

Ellis Island Immigration Museum
Ellis Island,
New York (Manhattan),
New York 10004
The ferry ride will be fun for kids, but otherwise it's not too amazing. I'm sure if you have family ties to Ellis Island that might be neat for a kid, but it's very informative, not very interesting. One of those things you can say you did but have no desire to do again.

Planet Fun
349 Whiteville Road,
Shallotte,
North Carolina
Best Bowling Alley in area, plus laser tag and lots of games. The best is the restaurant, which is more than just hot dogs and chicken fingers. They actually serve ribs and PRIME RIB!!! It stands alone in Shallotte for indoor family fun! Whenever we are in town, my kids ask to go!
