Marine Corps War Memorial
Marshall Drive,

"Great to visit at least once"
We live right across from the Marine Corp memorial. My son and I have only really been down once. Embarresed to say, but it is something that you should take your family to experiance. It is a great piece of history. You never really think the memorial is that big until ou are right up on it. On Tuesdays during the summer and good weather you can enjoy the Marine Copr Band playing music on the lawn. If you go on the weekend you will see lots of people lounging around having picnics, playing frisbee with their dogs, flying kites. Just having fun. Lots of land to run around but limited parking.

"Grat for a quiet walk with a bit of history"
My family and I live right next to the Arlington National Cemetary and enjoy taking walks about the property. There are also bike trails around it. During certain hours you can get on the grounds and walk around. We like to walk around and give thanks to all. Our little one will hang out in his stroller and just watch everything. An older child would probably not enjoy it to much as it is mainly repetitive scenery and LOTS of walking.

"Great Pool that has just remodeled"
Bull Run Park recently upgraded their pool area for kids of all ages. I used to attend every day during the summer as a child and has a blast. The have pirate themes, diving boards, tubes, slides and a little kiddie pool for the babies. Lifeguards are always on duty.

"Great place to visit for the holidays"
All kinds of fun to be had a cox's farm during all the holidays. Awesome pumpkin patch!!!! Find great gourds to decorate your table with at Thanksgving or the perfect Christmas tree for your living room. They even have animals that the children can feed and pet. Open year round if I remember correctly. Great place to take the kids for an outdoor adventure.

National Air & Space Museum

"Perfect visit for older kids"
We have a lot of fun every time we visit the Air and Space Museum. Its so interactive and hands on that you always have something to do. Granted the smaller kids won't have much to do but stare at everything I think it would be perfect for kids 3+. Even the adults are awed with everything. I love checking out the planes that are hanging everywhere.
