"Don't kill me but it was kind of boring"
I know I'm supposed to love this majestic beautiful natural landmark but it was boring. I went as a kid and I was more taken in by the gift shops than the canyon itself. During that same trip, we went to Yellowstone and it had much more to offer. Maybe had we river rafter it would have been more fun but it would also been more dangerous for kids. The shop was my favorite part.

St Louis Science Museum

One of my favorite attractions in St. Louis. It has fun for everyone. It's not even that expensive. There are a lot of hands-on activities that make learning fun. It kind of reminds me of Epcot a little. I especially like how they have a bridge over a huge highway overpass and a bunch of radar guns where you can see how fast the cars are going by.

Starlight Theater

"Really nice, just a little pricey"
Starlight is an outdoor theater where they have Broadway style plays. I have been to Cats there. They also sometimes have concerts there, I once saw a Christian concert there that lasted several days. If it wasn't for the price, it would be fantastic, even the cheap seats aren't too bad.

"Just a park but a really nice one"
The first time I went to this park, our church was doing an easter egg hunt, they have a lot of open grass area but not so much that it seems like a boring park. The park is right next to a water park and community center. There are 3 playgrounds at this park and a giant climbing rock that I can't manage but the kids seem to have no problem. My three year old calls this "the castle park" because one of the playgrounds looks like a castle. It's clean and rather well frequented by locals so there are always a decent but not overwhelming number of people around. Oh, and they also have a walk/bike trail

Kansas City Renaissance Festival

"Cool but very very expensive"
This place is almost entirely made up of money vortexes. There are a few plays and shows but mostly, anything you do here is going to cost you a ton of money. The food is expensive, the shops are expensive, and that's most of the appeal of this festival. There are a few good plays and roaming characters which can be cool, but overall, it's a spending spree set in older times with icky bathrooms and no a/c haha.
