The Moose Jackson Cafe
221 East A Street, # 1,
Iron Mountain,
Michigan 49801
If you want a really good lunch, you have got to eat at the Moose Jackson Cafe. It is in a beautiful huge cabin setting. There are many different coffees and teas to try. Their sandwiches are made with homemade bread. And their salads are to die for. You can even build your own sandwich. They have such a variety of meats, cheeses, vegetables, and dips. You won't regret it.

Front Porch
1112 S Stephenson Ave,
located in Midtown Mall,
Iron Mountain,
Michigan 49801
This is truly an amazing gift shop, located conveniently in the Midtown Mall. They have wonderful homemade fudge of all flavors. While shopping, I like to take a little break and get a cup of coffee, or hot cocoa, and grab one of their delightful muffins. The people that work their are so inviting. They have wonderful gifts that I like to send to friends and family that live far from me. They have really cute "Yooper" gifts.

Fisherman’s Wharf and Wharf #2
1 Fishermans Wharf,
Monterey,
California 93940
"Monterey Bay Fisherman’s Wharf "
This is a must see. After parking, walking, and entering the wharf, you will be greeted by many food venders. The restaurants (and there are many) offer free samplings of some of their foods, especially the wonderful clam chowder. You can eat outside and indoors. The seafood is fresh off the boats, breads are homemade, and everyone is so friendly. The scenery is wonderful. If you hear clicking sounds, while looking at the ocean, follow the sound. The sound is coming from the otters. They are cracking their catch on a rock while basking in the sun on their backs. It is truly amazing. You are also surrounded by the barking of the seals that are everywhere you look. It is breath taking, and an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.

Chong's Restaurant
485 Tyler Street,
Monterey,
California 93940
If you love Chinese food, you will love Chong's. I have been going there for 40 years. They are the absolute best. I used to live near there and now live in Wisconsin. But I go once a year, and cannot wait to eat. Chong's is one of the first restaurants I go to when visiting. We even have our family reunions there, that's how good it is. We enjoy family style meals. And their wonton soup is to die for. Go there, you will not regret it.
