United States Mint
320 West Colfax Avenue,
Denver,
Colorado
This was one of my favorite places to visit in Denver when I was a kid. It was so neat seeing the money being printed and getting a coin at the end of the tour. I do remember, however, waiting in a long line in the morning to get in. Of all the places we visited in Denver, however, this one stands out as a really fun memory. I was about 10 when we went. I imagine it would be quite boring for a small child.

Lagoon Amusement Park
Exit 327 from I-15 at US89 junction,
Farmington,
Utah 84025
Growing up, I'd look forward to or trip every summer to Lagoon. It seemed so big and there were so many rides, yummy food, and fun games. Now, as a parent, I don't Lagoon is all that. It is pretty expensive for an all-day ride pass, but if you only plan to go once a year it can seem reasonable. I think the best value comes in the season pass. There is a ton of great food (kind of pricey though) and many games (also pricey).

Chalk Art Festival
The Gateway Mall,
Salt Lake City,
Utah
This festival is so cool! There are such awesome pieces to see. The street is closed to traffic and there is chalk art all over the ground. You can take a stroll and check out the amazing pieces. You can choose your favorites and then check out the winners according to the judges.

Brighton Ski Resort
12601 Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd.,
Brighton,

"Love Love Love This Resort!"
Great ski instructors, beautifully groomed runs, excellent hot cocoa! Need I say more? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this resort. I have snowboarded there for years, and have taken my niece and nephew (from about the ages of 9 and 7). Passes are realistically priced and worth the money.

Living Planet Aquarium
725 E. 10600 S.,
Sandy,
Utah 84094
This aquarium is full of fun! You can actually touch a sting ray and starfish. There are videos to watch along the way and lots of other interactive areas. Of course you can see sharks and many other underwater creatures. Friendly staff and a nice gift shop.
