"dynamic"
fantastic spot for the aspiring pilot in the family. Tons of planes and displays on areo-dynamics makes this a great educational and fun destination. As well as iit being a great spot for the kids there are fun things for the adults to do aswell. And the gift shop carries very cool things like space icream and space blankets, all in all a good spot

"so much to see"
You can literally go to this place 4 times and still see something new every time. To really get a good look this activity will take a bit of time. Not good for younger children as it is easy to loose them in this wonderfully distracting attraction. dont forget to stop by the gift shop and grab your souvenir to remember the day

Washington Monument
Constitution Ave NW,
Washington,
District of Columbia
"good for picnic"
this is a great spot for the adventurous enough to go to the top and a nightmare for those afraid of heights. I say this is a good picnic spot because its in a wonderful park and this monument provides a great spot of shade and relaxation in a very busy and un-relaxed city. So roll out the checkered sheet and enjoy

Lincoln Memorial
West side of The Mall,
Washington,
District of Columbia
"historic"
This is not the most exciting tourist spot but it dose have some very historic qualities. I would recommend this to children 10+ who can fully understand what they are seeing and that it is not just a huge statue of Abraham Lincoln. Oh and you can reflect on a long day by the pond in a pretty peacfull spot in dc

Union Station | kids travel, kids activities
Union Station
50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE,
Washington,
District of Columbia
"go in the day"
Union station can be a wonderful or horrible experience depending on when you go. the best time to go is while the sun is up. At times the locals can be a bit frightening to younger children. Once inside its a great place for a fun shopping experience with a movie theater and exciting shops
