Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
My middle daughter gets car sick and on a trip back from Richmond, VA, she was also bored with being in the car and preceded to get get sick every 15-30 minutes. Then at around 2:00 am we hit a deer in Northern GA, luckily no one was hurt and the kids slept through the accident. (love my Honda) We had to have two police cars take us to a motel....after 48 hours we finally made it home from a 10 hour drive

"Arrive Early and Cook Out!"
The first time we went was a few weekends ago and had a blast! During the opening weekend for "Shrek", our family of 5 saw "Shrek" and "How to Train Your Dragon", for $17. (Adults $7, Kids 3-9 $1) We arrived early and cooked out with friends while the kids played with jump ropes, balls, and other outdoor toys.

"We learned to plan our day around this!"
On a trip with another family and after spending money on the tours and shopping, we discover this and learned that our day was much more enjoyable here! The water is clear and there are areas suitable for a 1 year old to play in and not be 1/2 mile away from the big kids! We purchased a small inflable boat and would float 1 adult aand 1 kid from one end of the island to the other and walk back to start all over again. It was the the closest I could get to floating the river with 5 kids under 5 and not have a heart attack!

"Interesting and Educational"
You walk through an indian villiage and view demostrations of canoe making, basket weaving, etc.
A guide explains the when and how various buildings were used and the customs that go along with each. My favorite part was at the end when you are told various indian tales.

"Rocks Rocks Everywhere!"
Wahoo! Water, Dirt, and Shiny Rocks... What more could a kid want? They had a blast and so did the stick in the adults! We started out with 1 collectable bucket for each child and had to buy a 5 gallon bucket for the adults to share! The added bonus was the hours of entertainment the kids had afterwards sorting, trading, stacking, rewashing, etc.

"Polar Express"
We took our oldest two daughters and it was a magical event for them. The lights at the train station provided a wonderful backdrop for personal pictures and the staff was wonderful.

I especially recommend this for children under 9 yrs. of age. It will be very magical!

On a side note there is a wonderful Photo Santa accross the street from the train.
