Pump it Up
821 W. Eastman,
Chicago,
Illinois
We’ve been to different Pump It Up fun centers in different locations and have never been disappointed! This particular location is very family friendly, clean, and well maintained. The inflatable structures are always in fully functional order and we’ve only had pleasant experiences with the staff. As another reviewer pointed out, next door is a pizza parlor – which means spending a long afternoon playing at Pump It Up followed by pizza next door is an absolutely stellar combination for any little kid! Definitely a great activity for a rainy day!

Wrigley Field
1060 W Addison St,
Chicago,
Illinois 60613
I cannot say enough positive things about experiencing a game at Wrigley Field! For the true Cubs fan, you could enjoy a Cubs game REGARDLESS of your surroundings – but the thing is, Wrigley Field is SO AMAZING that it makes any Cubs game that much better. The stadium is always kept exceptionally clean, there are clear directions and employees stationed EVERYWHERE to help you find your seats. The hot dogs and bratwursts are legendary, and the entire atmosphere is very family friendly. Our family has made it a tradition to travel to Chicago and experience at least one game as a family each summer, and it is one of THE most anticipated trips we take each year! Let’s Go Cubs!

Chicago Children's Museum
700 East Grand Avenue,
at Navy Pier,
Chicago,
Illinois 60611-3428
"Great fun - a little spendy"
One of the best Children’s Museums that we’ve ever been to! You could spend days exploring this Museum and still have lots of exhibits left unexplored at the end of the day. The admission to get in is a little steep in my opinion, but there are frequently deals and specials out there that you can take advantage of to get the price down. Be careful of attending on a “free” day though, as the crowds that you will encounter will likely make the experience much more negative than what you would experience on any other day.

Science Station
427 1st Ave SE,
Cedar Rapids,
Iowa
This is a great place to spend the day exploring – and at a VERY family friendly price tag! Last time we visited they charged $2/person (ages 2 and up) or $10 for the entire family (which is GREAT for large families like mine!). They have different exhibits geared for different age groups and they have really well trained and dedicated staff that can be found constantly throughout the building. Our favorite area is the “early childhood exploration area” – they are always bringing in new and exciting exhibits, so chance are you will encounter something new each time you visit. Definitely mark this down as a must-see location the next time you have a free day in Cedar Rapids, IA!

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Dubuque
1315 Associates Dr,
Dubuque, Iowa
I’m a big fan of all Country Inn and Suites – but this location is one of my favorite! The staff are always so charming and courteous, and the rooms are always cleaned to a shine! Although we live close enough that we don’t need to spend the night in Dubuque, we like to get away for the kids to enjoy a “mini-vacation” every now and then, and this is one of the hotels that we choose over and over again! The pool is great and the entire atmosphere is just superb!
