"For families with older children"
Mammoth Cave has something for every family. There are a variety of tours to take at various lengths. Some are more strenuous than others. These tours are not little kid friendly. Kids should probably be potty trained and good at "holding it," since few tours have bathrooms till it is over. We love the lantern tour where the only light is from the lanterns guests carry. It is cool in the caves so bring jackets. Even if it is 100 degress outside, the cave can be pretty chilly!

Actor's Theatre of Louisville

If you are in town at Christmas, A Christmas Carol is phenomenal! The set and the actors are fabulous and really puts you in the Christmas spirit. Many of their other plays are for older audiences, depending on the time of year. Dracula is a recurring play that has done very well in Louisville. This year they will also be doing "A Christmas Story."

If you can get tickets to one of their children's shows, you will not be disappointed. Kids love the ability to be so close to the show and get to eat a meal of their choice. We saw Blue's Clues and my two year old loved it. The children dance and sang and it did not disrupt or bother anyone. Adult shows are pricey but typically well done.

Joe Huber Family Farm & Restaurant
2421 Scottsville Road,
Borden,
Indiana 47106
Great place to visit all times of the year, plus the restaurant is fabulous! Each season provides something new to harvest for visitors, from strawberries, to blackberries, to apples and pumpkins, even Christmas trees! There is a fairly large petting zoo and a super winery for the parents. Parents can also go for the wine tasting for less than $10. Great family place to have fun!

"Awesome for Baseball Fans"
If you are a baseball fan or just have some knowledge of baseball, it is a great place to visit. Your visit can become even better if they are running the factory while you are there and can watch them create the bats for the pros. Not the best place for families with those under 5, but great for more mature families. Lots to read, watch and see about America's past time!
