Kahneeta Resort
6823 Highway 8,
Warm Springs,
Oregon 97761
"Good Family Entertainment"
This is good place for the whole family to visit. They have a huge pool area with childrens area as well as a regular pool area. It has a waterslide and a hot tub. This area also has an arcade and a snack shack. It gets very busy during the summer. You need to come early if you want to get a chair. It also gets really hot at Kahneeta during the summer. Based on Portland, OR weather it is generally 10 degrees warmer.
They have a hotel with decent sized rooms. The rooms are nothing fancy but clean and made for families. They also have teepees that you can rent and stay the night in.
For the parents they have a casino and spa. If your children are old enough they can go to the arcade if not they have childcare.
Our family loves to go during the summer for the outdoor salmon bakes, pool, horse back riding and staying in a teepee.

Flying Pie Pizzeria
7804 SE Stark,
Portland,
Oregon 97215
This pizza place is a nice variation from the standard chains. It offers fresh homemade products. The pizzas have tons of topping and it is always delicious. For the quality this restaurants prices compare with the other chains. It is a small restaurant and gets packed pretty quickly. It is on a busy street and parking is limited. This place also has a small game area for the kids.
A good treat for the family and go next door to see a movie afterwards.

"Great inner city getaway"
For being a park in the city this is a very fun activity filled park. Just a pre warning it gets packed in the summer. It is a favorite for company parties and families on summer weekends.
Good for all ages has activities from bike riding rentals a playground for the youngeters. They also have a swimming area and boat rentals. This place does have problems off and on with e coli in the water during the summer.
Has large picnic areas for the family as well as a snack bar. There is a fee to get into the park as well as the boat rentals.

Multnomah Falls
30 Minutes East of Portland ,
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area,
Portland,
Oregon 97019
This falls is absolutely breathtaking no matter what the season. It has a short paved path to the bridge viewing area. If you want to go to the top will need a carrier if you have a child that can't walk to good or far. It is a steep uphill trip.
The place has a mid range priced sit down restaurant and gift shop. It also has a snack bar. This is a family favorite. You go during the summer and will need to get the falls cone. That makes the day complete.
This place can get packed on summer days is the downside.

Crown Point Vista House
Historic Columbia River ,
Hwy Exit 22 I-84,
Troutdale,
Oregon
If you can catch this place when it is open well worth the stop. It has wonderful views of the gorge and the birds flying around. Watch out for the wind though on high wind days can push you across the parking lot. The visitor center is not exactly kid friendly to many stairs if you have a stroller. Beautiful building and nice gift shop.
This is also the place to go when you want to view a show in the sky at night. My family and I do that a lot and head to Troutdale's truck stop for a snack afterwards.
